Thanks for visiting our little corner of the world. We are located way up in the Pacific Northwest in Tenino, Wasington. A small rural country town with a population of about 1,300 people. You can make it all the way through town without hitting a stop light or a stop sign!. We are a very small kennel where we enjoy our dogs to the fullest. They are loved and raised in a home environment with other silkens and one rogue miniature poodle (owned by my daughter), who totes a mohawk hair cut in various colors depending on what holiday the month contains. With his skull & cross bone spiked leather collar and matching outfit. He trains all of the pups to handle face slapping, ear pulling, and yapping in your face behavior. The pups learn to stand fast while their legs are being gnawed and being used as an obstacle course for the little low rider. Their is also one great big orange cat that they are not sure of most of the time and one of the neighbor cats, who never misses breakfast. (She tells me when I'm late) that loves them all. Our goal here at DragonsGate is to continue to insure genetic diversity, structurely correct conformation, sound movement, sight hound type, and soundness of health and temperment. A silken who has the heart for racing, a contender in the conformation ring, a service dog with the ability to make a difference, or a well loved companion and family dog (couch potato extrordinare). Tough goals and big dreams, I know, but that, my friends is what the Silken Windhounds are all about! Enjoy!! |
